Who the protagonist is
before the Point of Attack.
Usually the first sequence of the
screenplay that depicts the daily routine of the protagonist or introduces us
to him/her. In Lord of the Rings,
it’s the time we spend in Shire with Frodo. In Fight Club, the Protagonist leads an aimless life, going to
terminal illness support groups and working for an evil insurance company. In Rear Window, Jeffries’ is a charming
photographer confined to a wheelchair who spends his time
watching his neighbors.

ReplyDeleteThe Status Quo setup is such a crucial storytelling element—it helps us understand the protagonist's world before everything changes. The reference to Fight Club is a perfect example of how even a mundane job at an "evil insurance company" can reflect deeper themes. Speaking of insurance, for real-life needs, it's just as important to find a trusted Texas insurance agency Houston TX to ensure you’re well-covered before life’s unexpected plot twists!
